just one idea

You know, most people would tell you that they have no time to read. And so what they are actually saying is, they’ve no time to learn something new… even if it’s for their benefit, even if it’s for advancing their careers, for improving their lives, their businesses. And what’s their excuse?

Reading a book cover to cover is boring.

That reading isn’t for them.

Some even dare to say that those who write books simply do so to make money.

But I think the truth is far from that.

I believe that a person who seriously want progress, a person who want to get better in their careers, to increase their earning potential, this person know that learning more by reading is part of the equation.

The thing is, we don’t have to read the book cover to cover to uncover the hidden secrets of success. We don’t have to read the whole book – though it would be great if we did.

All we have to do is to find that one idea, that one thought, that great perspective… Because that’s all it takes to change, to grow, to embrace the path of progress.

And so here is one to start with that I found in the book Walden; or, Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau:

‘If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

We don’t have to read all the words in a book, on a blog post. All we have to do is find that one idea that has the power to change our live. The idea that has the power to push us beyond our comfort zones.  That’s all we need.

So please, let’s never forget to always…

Think progress.

Believe in progress.

And push for progress.
